Wellness Programs

At Golden and Cohen, we deliver online and live wellness programs to promote behavior change and healthy lifestyle choices. There are programs available in self-directed mode for personal health improvement, or with a company to support a coach-directed model.

All wellness programs can be configured to match client service levels and business rules including the duration of the program, action steps to be included, and incentive points available.

Participant Functions
Participants engaged in wellness programs may:
• Enroll in a health action plan, participate in a wellness challenge, or record attendance at a wellness event.
• Receive reminders for completing activities based on due dates.
• Complete and record activities, tracking progress with online charts.
• Earn incentive points for completing each activity.

We support three types of wellness programs:

1. Health Action Plans — Personal lifestyle behavior change programs that may be assigned by participant self-selection, by the health coach, or automatically based on health risk assessment results. Currently available:
• Healthy eating
• Weight management
• Exercise and activity
• Stress management
• Quit smoking
• Heart disease prevention
• Diabetes prevention

Each health action plan may include:
• Assessment and personal plan
• Progress trackers
• Interactive tutorials
• Coaching sessions
• Learning modules
• Satisfaction survey

2. Challenges — Health trackers that can be delivered at specific times company-wide or to selected communities, including:
• Exercise and activity
• Weight loss
• Five-a-day fruit and veggies

3. Events — Employer-defined health events or activities that may occur throughout the year, e.g., wellness seminar, annual flu shot. Employers can update the list of available activities and related incentives using a secure employer portal.

Health Coach Functions — Using a wellness firm, health coaches may oversee and direct action plans by:
• Assigning action plans to participants.
• Reviewing participant progress and results.
• Completing health-coach steps to record encounters with participants.

Administrator Functions — Client administrators, and optionally end-client administrators, are provided with online tools for managing projects and reporting data.
• Challenges and events can be deployed for each end client, to tie in with worksite or community programs. Deployment options include enrollment open and close dates, event date, duration, and incentive points available.
• Process management reports combine usage and completion information to track progress and drive incentive programs.
